Pudhumai Thamizhachi (meaning "The New Tamil Woman") is a women-led empowerment initiative dedicated to helping Tamil women and girls become confident, skilled, and financially independent.
Founded by Dr. Sridevi Sivanandam, the organisation began as a vibrant community movement among Tamil women and has grown into a platform that combines cultural roots with modern opportunity. We work through education, skill development, entrepreneurship support, digital literacy, health awareness, and leadership programmes.
We believe every woman deserves the chance to lead with dignity — in her family, workplace, and community — while proudly preserving Tamil values and heritage. Our programmes are designed to create sustainable livelihoods and lasting social impact, working closely with Self Help Groups, volunteers, local communities, and development partners.
